ALC’S School Council is formed from a group of volunteers that meet once a month to discuss topics that involve A. Lorne Cassidy Elementary School. It is an opportunity to develop a partnership between parents, the school, staff and students. Each volunteer is a parent or guardian of a student enrolled at the school. Additional members include ALC’S Principal, Vice-Principal, one teacher elected by their peers, one administrative or support staff member elected by their peers, and one community representative appointed by the Council.
The school council is responsible for event such as the Bake Walk, the Book Fair and the Year End Bonanza. Money raised by council has been used to purchase a variety of items for school use, such as Elmo's, Chrome Books, sports equipment, stage mics and much more. Most recently council has purchased new tables for the library and furniture for the rotunda. We are also dedicated to helping our sister school Carleton Heights.

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month via Google Meets.
